Beautiful gilded bronze and patinated bronze ewer in the manner of Claude Galle, from the Empire Consulate period, around 1815.
This ewer has a very beautiful handle finished with a rooster's head. (the rooster is the attribute of Hermes)
The belly is encircled by a frieze finely chiseled with laurel leaves, it rests on a guilloche pedestal finished with a quadrangular base resting on a patinated bronze counter base.
This object is of very good quality and of beautiful size.
